When number_of_cpus_per_server was never saved, the api gives each pinned server 2 CPUs (match-assistant.service.ts, dedicated-servers.service.ts), but the node pages split capacity by 1 and the settings form showed 1. Max servers read about double what the scheduler admits.

  • nodeSettings defaults CPUs per server to 2
  • The servers settings form defaults the field to 2
  • The max-servers formula itself is unchanged: with 1 core reserved (api installer change) and the connector requesting no CPU (5stack-panel#670), threads − 1 is exact

@lukepolo lukepolo changed the title bug: a pinned node's max servers leaves the 2 cores k3s reserves and the node connector's 250m bug: the node pages assume 2 CPUs per server when the setting was never saved, as the api does Oct 23, 2026
