[BUG] External Matches .dem Upload is not working #688
Description
1.: Demo Upload field is not showing for normal users. Only admins get this option
2.: Even for admins the drag and drop field does nearly not work, it seem like its too small
3.: When uploading a Demo it fails with "chunk upload failed (400)" after 1/3 of the upload

Items 2 and 3 are fixed. The
chunk upload failed (400)error is fixed in 5stackgg/api#816: the upload URLs carried a checksum of an empty body, which the storage rejected. Drag and drop is fixed in 5stackgg/web#1077: a demo dropped anywhere while the upload dialog is open is uploaded. Item 1 (upload for non-admins) is still open.lukepolo commentedon Oct 29, 2026
Item 1 is done in 5stackgg/api#852 and 5stackgg/web#1109: demo settings now has a "Who can upload demos" role, every signed-in user by default, enforced by the api and followed by the profile's upload. Items 2 and 3 were fixed earlier (5stackgg/api#816, 5stackgg/web#1077).
