From fcd85e047becabb6f6d005bb3c6e99ca1587baf1 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Jason Lernerman Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2026 18:45:36 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] fix(simulate): bare `lk agent simulate` runs a text simulation again #968 made bare `lk agent simulate` print help, but the dashboard's empty state (`lk agent simulate -n 5`), the launch blog post (`lk agent simulate -n 10`), the product page and the dashboard's generated CI workflow all tell users to run it without a subcommand. Every one of those first runs ends at a help screen instead of a simulation. Restore the pre-#968 behavior: with no subcommand, `simulate` runs `simulate text`. --- cmd/lk/simulate.go | 14 ++++++++++---- 1 file changed, 10 insertions(+), 4 deletions(-) diff --git a/cmd/lk/simulate.go b/cmd/lk/simulate.go index 37e52cbea..ce737510c 100644 --- a/cmd/lk/simulate.go +++ b/cmd/lk/simulate.go @@ -61,14 +61,20 @@ const ( ) var simulateCommand = &cli.Command{ - Name: "simulate", - Aliases: []string{"simulation"}, - Usage: "Run judged simulations of an agent on LiveKit Cloud", + Name: "simulate", + Aliases: []string{"simulation"}, + Usage: "Run judged simulations of an agent on LiveKit Cloud", + ArgsUsage: "[entrypoint]", // Hide the implicit `help` subcommand so shell completion falls back to // native filename completion for the entrypoint arg (see startCommand).
